1. Download TaiG for Windows or Mac OS X
The first thing you have to do before you can actually jailbreak your device is download the latest version of TaiG. To do that, you can head over to this link to download the Windows version or you can head over to this link to download the Mac OS X version.
2. Prepare Your iOS Device
The first thing you should always do before jailbreaking is back up your device. That way, if anything goes wrong, you can always restore to your most recent working condition. You can use iCloud, or you can use iTunes (recommended).
TaiG needs your iOS device to have Touch ID and any passcode you have set to be turned OFF; Find my iPhone also needs to be turned OFF. You can turn them back on after the jailbreak. To do this, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > turn off the top three green sliders, and Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone > Turn off the top green slider. You will also want to enable Airplane Mode before you jailbreak. If you don't follow these steps, you're going to experience problems trying to jailbreak, so play it safe, and go ahead and follow these steps before you attempt this jailbreak.
3. Launch the Jailbreak Application
Now that your device is ready, you can un-zip the file you downloaded by right-clicking on the zip file and selecting "Extract All." Next, you can right click on the TaiG jailbreak application icon and select "Run as Administrator" to open the application:
When prompted, trust the application:
4. Start the Jailbreak Process
After you have the application running, you should plug in your iOS device that you intend to jailbreak. Once it is found, you should see a screen similar to the one below. You want to DESELECT the 3k Assistant checkbox so that only Cydia is installed on your jailbroken device:
Once you do that, you can click Start and the jailbreak process will begin. Your iOS device may reboot multiple times throughout the jailbreak process. This is normal, just wait, relax, be patient, and hold out until the end:
When the process is over, TaiG will tell you when you're all finished:
At this point, your iOS device may tell you that your storage is almost full. This is also normal. Just open the Cydia application from your Home Screen, and your device will take care of some storage housekeeping, and then your device will reboot one last time.
5. You're All Done!
Well that was easy, wasn't it? Check the bottom of the Cydia page, and you'll see that you're jailbroken on iOS 8.3:
Please note that most jailbreak extensions are not yet ready for iOS 8.3. Over the course of the next few days, weeks, and months, many packages will be updated for compatibility. Stay tuned to pak-gsm to stay up to date on important jailbreak extension updates!
